Clever and E.on invest EUR 50 million in charging network

The Danish manufacturer of charging points for electric vehicles will install 180 stations in collaboration with the utility over the next three years. The hope is that this number will double.

Danish charging point manufacturer Clever aims to retake its lead on the European market for charging electric cars. In cooperation with energy company E.on, 180 charging stations will be installed over the next three years, making up around 800 charging points throughout Europe, announces Clever, reports Danish media Børsen.

"This is without a doubt the largest thing we've ever been involved in. We're not that old – we have 30 people in Denmark – we're almost a startup. This is the biggest partnership we've been in and it will be a huge investment for E.on and Clever," says CEO of Clever, Casper Kirketerp-Møller, to the newspaper.
